Howie Roseman's Got That Dawg In Him

The Philadelphia Eagles men's professional football team got off to a 6-0 start before their bye week. With that being the case, there really aren't many glaring issues with this team. Sure, they haven't really had many dominant 2nd half performances so far this season offensively. But they also haven't needed one. The fact of the matter is that the Eagles are just a great team from top to bottom, left to right.

If Howie Roseman wanted to, he could have just taken the rest of the year off. He did his job already. He pulled off the trade at the draft for AJ Brown. He got the trade done before the season to bring in Ceedy Gardner-Johnson. He got rid of guys like Jalen Reagor and JJ Arcega-Whiteside to get all that negative energy out of the building. He did his job of assembling a great team, and he could have kicked his feet up, cracked open several dozen cold ones, and just relaxed the rest of the season. But that's not what Howie Roseman does. That's not how Howie Roseman operates.

So if there is one little component of this team that could use a little bit of bolstering up, it would be the pass rush. What does Howie Roseman go out and do? He goes out and lands a proven commodity like Robert Quinn to fix that. Now it's not like sending a 4th round draft in return is anything to scoff at. There's still a ton of talent you can pick up in the 4th round of a draft. Franchise altering talents.

But here's the thing…Howie Roseman doesn't need that shit because he already has that shit.

Howie Roseman has that DAWG in him. This man has been stacking up draft picks for this moment right here. Loading, loading, loading. He knew the day would come when he had another roster capable of playing in February. He knew he'd want to have a shit ton of picks to throw around at the deadline to get those last few pieces to locking up a Super Bowl contender. The same way he was able to get Jay Ajayi in 2017. He stashed the picks and now it's his time to turn up.

And if you think this is the only move Howie is making before the deadline, I've got a Columbia Bridge to sell ya (very underrated Philly bridge if you catch it in the right light).

A power back for a little thunder & lightning with Miles Sanders? More depth at literally any other position just to be careful? Who knows. All we know is that Howie Roseman can trade like a mother fucker, and somehow every other GM around the league still hasn't learned to just hang up the phone whenever they see his number come across the line.
