Week 7 Overreactions

1- It's Time To Place Wagers On Someone Besides The Bucs To Win NFC South

Night night. The Tampa Bay Bucs might as well be the Tampa Bay Boca Ratons because they look old. They look washed, they look liek flat out shit. Brady isn't playing well. They just lost to two basement dwellers of The Steelers and Panthers. Shambles. Complete shambles.

Now this division is so bad that The Bucs might just be the least stinky pile of shit in the stack and still stumble to 9-8 or hell 8-9 and win this division. The Barstool Sportsbook thinks this division is so bad, that the Bucs are still -250 to win the NFC South. That should tell you the confidence they have in the Falcons, Saints and Panthers.

Some people would look at that and be timid to pull a trigger on a long shot. I am not one of those people. Have you seen the Bucs ? No really have you seen this team ? It's time to roll the dice on a future against them.

Rule out the Panthers. Fun story , but no thanks.

The Saints are intriguing at +700 but with Dalton under center and Winston's health in question , and the Saints already losing to Tampa head to head, and still having to go to Tampa later this year ? No thanks.

The Atlanta Falcons +400

SIGN ME UP !

This is 100% a long shot but The Falcons are just frisky enough to get behind. First off, aside from yesterday they have been in every game. Second, Atlanta got robbed vs Tampa following an awful roughing the passer schedule. Lastly, here's a comparative schedule over the next week weeks with The Falcons and Bucs.

Falcons :

Carolina, Chargers, @ Carolina, Chicago, @ Washington, Pitt , BYE

Bucs :

Ravens, Rams, Seattle, BYE, @ Cleveland, Saints, @ 49ers

Tell me you don't think The Falcons could be ahead of the Bucs heading into prime Christmas shopping time ? I sure as well do. +400 is worth the play to me, it's also worth the unintentionally comedy of watch the Bucs absolutely crumble this season.

2- If The Vikings Somehow Blow Their Divisional Lead It Will Be The Worst Choke Job In The NFL

I was a Vikings believer preseason. +240 to win The North looks fantastic right now and happy to be holding it. The Vikings are rolling at 5-1, and hold a 2.5 game lead in the North, and a head to head win over The Packers. The Vikings should win that division, but this is an overreaction blog so I will say this. If Minnesota finds a way to blow this lead (yes we're only 7 weeks in) you can chalk it up to one of the biggest choke jobs in NFL history. After years of Rodgers dominating that division, his team is showing a real drop off. Minnesota has to seize that opportunity. You cannot let Rodgers come back to steal this division with the lead they spotted you, and a win over them head to head, you just can't.

3- If We Don't Get A Bills vs Chiefs Playoff Game, God Hates Football Fans

There's some nice teams in the AFC. There's some frisky teams in the AFC. But there's 2 teams we want to see decide it all.We have seen it the last 2 years in the playoffs, and got to see them last year and this year in the regular season. They are on a clear collision course to decide the AFC, and if we don't get it God hates us as football fans. We deserve this game, and more so if the game is in Buffalo which it looks like it will be, we deserve to see that environment even more. Do the right thing, give us Chiefs Bills in the playoffs.

4- The Raiders and Cardinals Aren't Dead Yet

Both of these teams had serious buzz in the offseason. It felt like people wanted to get behind good Quarterbacks like Derek Carr and Kyler Murray. Big Ev was a big believer in the Raiders being a sleeper , even in a what looked like at the time a difficult division. The Cards felt like they could score with anyone which would keep them in the playoff hunt.

To start the season both teams stumbled, and stumbled often. The Raiders were 1-4 but lost every game by 1 score (including one to the Cardinals). The Cards were 2-4 and looked horrible in almost every first half they played.

Both teams rebounded with big wins this week, and to be honest. I think it's a sign of life. I also think it indicates more so that the way they played this week is an indication of their talent than what we had seen over the first two months. I still believe in these teams and think this is the start of their runs back into the playoff mix.

Bonus - The Raiders likely can't win that division with the way the Chiefs are rolling, but if you like sprinkles the Cardinals are a game back from 1st place and +1100 to win that division. Just saying … take a look.

5- The Giants Are The Most Disrespected 6-1 Team Ever

I'll make this quick. If you keep saying the Giants are overrated at 1-0, and then again at 2-0, then 3-1, then 4-1 , then 5-1, and you say it again at 6-1 maybe you need to realize you are wrong, and that the New York Giants are a good football team.  Maybe you are bald and don't watch football, or maybe you just don't like The Giants, but either way you are wrong if you think this isn't a good team.

Respect us.
