At first, I thought the answer was 18. The pattern above clearly shows that each number on the left is being multiplied by 10 at first, then 9, 8, 7, etc. That would lead to the following finish:

9 x 10 = 90

8 x 9 = 72

7 x 8 = 56

6 x 7 = 42

3 x 6 = 18

However, that theory involves the left side skipping the levels with 5 and 4. If you're assuming that they should be involved, the correct answer is 12. Here is the updated outlook:

9 x 10 = 90

6 x 7 = 42

5 x 6 = 30

4 x 5 = 20

3 x 4 = 12
