Bill Belichick Wanted Absolutely Nothing To Do With Today's Game Ball After A Milestone Win In Cleveland

After a bad start to the season, the New England Patriots suddenly have some momentum. Rookie QB Bailey Zappe has looked solid in his first few NFL games, and the Patriots are now back to .500 on the season.

With today's win, Head Coach Bill Belichick secured his 324th career victory. Why is that significant? It moves him into a tie for second all-time with George Halas for the most as a HC.

Towards the end of the game, rookie Brenden Schooler attempted to present Coach Belichick with the game ball after recovering a muffed punt to seal the deal. And as you can see here, the elite Head Coach wanted absolutely NOTHING to do with this ball.

You have to love the confidence by Brenden Schooler to attempt this move. His heart was in the right place. And you have to appreciate his pregame outfit as well…

It's crazy how much a few weeks can change the outlook of a season. The Patriots are in a solid spot at 3-3 and host the Bears on Monday Night Football next week, where Bill Belichick looks to break that aforementioned record. Will he accept a game ball if that's the case? We shall see.
