NEIGH!! COLTS ARE BACK! The Road To The 1pm Wild Card Game Is BACK ON!!

NEIGH!!!

THE COLTS ARE BACK!!!

People have been talking a lot of shit about the Colts. Acting like we're not the exact same team we've always been. Like for some reason we're not going to be floating around the top of the AFC South with a .500 record for the entire season. But once again, I am here to proudly report that the Colts are indeed the EXACT SAME TEAM they are every year.

3-2-1, what a beautiful record. Not technically on top of the division, but very very close By no means a threat to win the Super Bowl, but have a very good chance to make the playoffs.

THE ROAD TO THE 1PM WILD CARD GAME IS BACK ON!

Who knows? Maybe we'll even win the Wild Card game this year? Maybe we'll compete with the Buffalo Bills in the first half of the Divisional Round, before the game gets away from us, and we lose 31-17.

Ahhh it feels good to be back where we belong. Very comfortably a slightly above average football team, and nothing more. I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't forcing myself to be excited about them. The Colts don't necessarily play inspired football. But hey, it's 6 weeks into the season, and we're still playing meaningful football. Just like we are every year.

Nothing about what the Colts are doing seems sustainable to me. I understand Jonathan Taylor is out, but I refuse to believe Matt Ryan throwing the ball 50+ times a game is something that can continue for the rest of the season.

That's a preposterous stat line for Matt Ryan right? Am I the only one who thinks that's crazy?

Deon Jackson looked like a very serviceable running back today. They still didn't run him between the tackles much. I feel like they could have done that more. They refuse to do that with anyone other than Jonathan Taylor. But Jackson definitely seems to be a more complete running back than Nyheim Hines. I love Hines, but he's a 3rd down back who catches passes out of the backfield. It would be nice if Jackson can step in and take some of the load off Taylor moving forward. I hope that's how they use him at least.

Pittman continues to be a legitimate #1 receiver. Alec Pierce is without a doubt a wide receiver. Jelani Woods is a cool name for a tight end. The Colts defense plays 11 players at a time. We have a kicker.

To be perfectly honest, I feel like I'm just copy and pasting the same Colts blog I wrote a few weeks ago. That just sums up the Colts perfectly. Nothing too exciting. Nothing different. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just a very very ok to slightly better than ok football team week in and week out.

One more thing - I would really like to make "NEIGH" happen. When the Colts make a big play people can say - "NEIGH!!". When the Colts make a REALLY big play, people can say, "NEEEEIIIGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Colts fans - from now on, we NEIGH!
