Behind The Mystery Of The Old Man Sitting Behind Home Plate Last Night At Yankee Stadium

Last night was fun as we watched the Yankees take Game 1 of the ALDS. Within the game a few people on stream began to notice the homeless looking man stationed behind home plate seen sandwiched between the two bald men in the picture above.

 Tremendous photo by the way.

The internet began to do its thing as more and more people began to notice this mystery man who looks like he was around to watch Babe Ruth in person.

It dawned on me I've seen this man before in those very same seats at Yankee Stadium. Only a SOMEBODY could be regularly in those prime seats behind home plate. Yup, that's Cliff Burnstein, the co-manager of METALLICA and co-founder of Q Prime management.

What a life. You have an incredible job managing one of the most famous rock bands ever, have a gajillion dollars to your name, and you get to sit behind home plate during the biggest Yankee games every year. Your appearance makes everyone stir and question who you could possibly be. Just a dude who has seen literally everything and has the world in the palm of his hand.

Have to assume he's a huge fan if at his age he's still making it over to the stadium these days. I'd love to hear him rant about IKF's defense, Donaldson dogging a ball off the top of the wall, or Boone having the quick trigger with his pen management.
