Draymond Green Could Never Be A Hockey Player

By now I'm sure you've already seen the video of Draymond unloading a vicious falcon punch right to Jordan Poole's jaw. But in case you want to watch it for the 47th time, here ya go.

Now as a guy whose favorite sport is hockey, I can't necessarily say that I'm shocked and appalled to see a professional athlete try to bury their fist through another athlete's skull.

HOWEVA…

If you're going to take it upon yourself to step into that enforcer role, there is a code you have to abide by. And I'll tell you right now that Draymond Green broke the code, and would be a terrible hockey fighter. Because you don't just go around sucker punching dudes in the face like that. If you want to scrap, you should at least have the decency to ask if buddy wants to go first. Take legendary NHL tough guy Georges Laraque, for example.

Sucker punching a guy like Draymond did is gutless. If you want to be a tough guy and let your fists settle a dispute, you have to give your opponent the ability to accept and square up. Draymond broke the enforcer code, and it's hard for guys to ever shake that reputation after that.

Also I feel like Draymond Green would suck at hockey because he probably can't ice skate or stick handle for shit. But mainly because he doesn't follow the code.

Sidenote: Todd Bertuzzi doesn't count.
