BARSTOOL FINANCE: The Queen is dead... and so is the UK's economy

Blog don't sleep. And neither does the endless stream of finance and markets' headlines.

Which is why Large, Intern Ian, and myself have taken it upon ourselves to double our podcasting output. Every week from here on out you'll get two full episodes of THE FAMILY OFFICE.

Today we break down the worst thing to happen to the UK since Meghan Markle came on the scene, Cathie Wood's newest scam, and we take some listener questions. We got asked about our experiences during the 2008 financial crisis, and they couldn't have been more different...

  • Large: "Working on Wall Street. Some hedge fund manager offered me a Unabomber-like hideout in upstate NY if shit got really real."
  • Tyler: "I was in college and had an internship at a bank that I rarely showed up to. I didn't really have an idea of what was going on, but I knew it was bad."
  • Ian: "I was 7."

And we hand out the first ever BERNIE award. The Bernard L. Madoff Bottom Bucket Memorial Award powered by Enron goes to the character in finance/business whose stock just hit a new all-time low. This week's nominees include dudes named Ian (including intern Ian) and the three dudes running that publicly traded New Jersey deli with a $100 million market cap. TUNE IN TO FIND OUT WHO WINS.
