CHOKE: Mizzou Blows Chip-Shot Field Goal, Fumbles Away Winning TD In Overtime And Likely Saves Auburn Coach Bryan Harsin's Job

Oh my goodness the agony. What a complete and utter choke job by Missouri here. With a golden opportunity to send Auburn coach Bryan Harsin packing in the midst of only his second season at the helm, the visitors fell apart in the most critical moments of Saturday's SEC showdown.

First, you have the failed 26-yard would-be clinching kick by Harrison Mevis. Even worse, your defense holds Auburn to a field goal to kick off overtime and you have the inside track to steal a win. Instead, Mizzou running back Nathaniel Peat rumbles for 19 yards and LOSES THE BALL as he stretches out to break the plane of the end zone.

Touchback. Ballgame. Nothing short of devastating for Mizzou. Meanwhile, in case you weren't aware, there was at least one legit report that stated Harsin's job was on the line:

Even though Auburn won this one, I don't think anyone inside the program is feeling much better about Harsin leading the way after getting bailed out to such a degree by the opponent's errors.

Notice how I finessed this whole post and avoided the problem of both schools having the same mascot. Didn't even have to write Tigers and varied up the language enough to keep things lively. I'd like a gold star, please!!
