Antonio Brown Is Performing In Beautiful Worcester, Massachusetts Tonight For What Is Sure To Be A Sell Out Crowd
Masslive - Antonio Brown will be in Massachusetts Thursday but not for football.
The former NFL wide receiver will be performing — as a rapper — at Worcester nightclub Whiskey on Water.
The concert is set to begin at 8:30 p.m. with three DJs including DJ Juice, Dj S3NS3S and DJ Trent. The concert will end at 2 a.m., according to the event page.
Tickets, which are on sale now, are selling from $35 to $40. Previous “tiers” of $20 and $25 have sold out.
(Man, life comes at you fast huh?)
Worcester, Massachusetts. Aka Worm Town. Aka the woo. Aka "Paris of The 80's". Aka the hottest residential market in the country (according to an obscure NPR article from 2018 that we're still banking on)
And now the blue-collar, heroin highway midpoint, can add "place Antonio Brown launched his rap career" to its long list of accolades.
Yes, he showed up to do an impromptu performance at Chicago's Lyrical Lemonade festival this summer-
but that was more of a dress rehearsal.
This is Whiskey On The Water we're talking about. On a Thursday night. With three Dj's booked. Two first two tiers of $20, and $30 tickets are sold out!
And if you think AB was good at running flag routes, and burning bridges, just wait until you hear him spit bars.
I think I need to book a Jet Blue flight from Ohare to Worcester Airport (yes, Worcester has an airport and yes Jet Blue flies into it) for tonight to cover this live.
If I'm being honest, I'm kind of jealous I don't get to DJ this spectacle. I cannot wait for AB to say one bad word about Robert Kraft and the Pats and for Sully and Lenny from Grafton Hill to yank his mic and give him the business.
p.s. - Worcester has an incredible record of booking rap shows and artists never showing up. I think we went to see Redman, Method Man, and Wu-Tang 4-5 different times at The Palladium back in the day and the best we ever got was Capadonna and some of the Killer Beez hitting the stage 4 hours late and apologizing for the headliners and household names not being able to make it. AB is gonna come through though I can feel it.
p.p.s. - we sold out the Palladium, and the DCU Center (aka The Centrum) on The Blackout Tour back in the day. No big deal.
