Dave Portnoy Is In Danger Of Missing The Cut At The Inaugural Barstool Mini Golf Invitational
The wait is finally over. Last night, the inaugural Barstool Mini Golf Invitational teed off at The Clubhouse in East Hampton, NY. 40 Barstool employees began their journey with the hopes of winning the $10,000 prize at the end of the 54-hole tournament. Dave Portnoy was kind enough to put that cash up for grabs with one stipulation: if he wins, the remainder of the field has to split the money and pay Dave (about $256 each).
The first 9 holes of Round 1 aired on the Barstool Sports YouTube Channel, and Dave has had a rollercoaster of a round so far...
Dave is at -2 at the turn, which puts him in a tie for 16th place, and at the moment, is the projected cut line. His ace on the 8th hole gives him nice momentum entering the back 9, but he could certainly use a couple more of those down the stretch in order to make the cut in this tournament.
Episode 2 (the conclusion of the first round) drops Thursday at 7 PM ET on YouTube. Here is what the leaderboard currently looks like…
