The Mandalorian Season 3 Trailer Has Arrived!

D23 is being held in Anaheim today, which is basically like a comic con that Disney puts on themselves dedicated to only Disney properties (which hits just about everything at this point) - and Lucasfilm just concluded the Star Wars portion of their big panel with a surprise appearance from the cast of 'The Mandalorian' as well as a new trailer for Season 3!

It focuses heavily on the moment in 'The Book of Boba Fett' where Din Djarin reveals to The Armorer that he has taken his helmet off for Grogu, breaking the code (or "The Way") of Mandalorians, and to atone for this and rejoin the Mandalorians, he was told to seek the living waters under the mines of Mandalore....mines that were completely destroyed in the Purge.

RIP to Sundari, the beautiful capital city of Mandalore

Season 3 appears to be focusing on the journey to Mandalore and the fight to reclaim it (considering the whole planet looks like a barren wasteland right now) and I've got a feeling there's gonna be a whoooole lot of infighting between the Mandalorians!

Bo Katan is none too pleased with Din holding the Darksaber, and the more extremist clans that catch wind of that, the worse it's gonna get for him. I'm not even sure he wants the Darksaber himself at this point! He barely knows how to use it!

Plus, are these pirates we're fighting?! Could we get the first live-action appearance of Hondo this season?!

I'm not sure! All I know is - uniting those clans isn't gonna be easy.

We also get some Grogu….

….the Empire's scientist cloner KenJac….

….a tree full of Kowakian monkey-lizards (aka Salacious B. Crumbs)….

….and even some Babu Frik! Heh-HEYYYYYYY!

That lil guy may be the only universally praised part of the whole Sequel Trilogy. God bless Favreau and Filoni for bringing him back.

We didn't get any Moff Gideon in this trailer, but Giancarlo Esposito was on stage at D23, so I do think his presence with the Empire will still be felt.

Overall, I'd say that was a great teaser to remind the audience how amazing The Mandalorian is and make everyone pumped for the new season - without giving anything away. I wouldn't even be surprised if we found out later that most of the footage is from the first couple episodes. It just sucks that we have to wait til February for Season 3 to begin!

Thankfully we've got Andor on September 21st, which looks tremendous….

….and speaking of new Star Wars shows that look great, we saw our first look at Dave Filoni's new 'Tales of the Jedi' animated series (premiering on Disney+ October 26th), and if you know anything about Dave Filoni animated series, you know he don't miss….

It'll be six episodes total, three focusing on Ahsoka, and three focusing on a young Count Dooku - when he was still a Jedi. I'm incredibly intrigued.

P.S. Greef Karga with the GLOW UP!!

P.P.S. Bo Katan - a former member of Death Watch - calling Din Djarin out for HIS clan fracturing the Mandalorians? Give me a friggin break.

P.P.P.S. They also showed what was reportedly an amazing Indiana Jones 5 trailer, but it won't be released to the public just yet….
