Quinn Ewers Looked Unbelievable Against Alabama and Then Got Hurt Because the Tide Get Every Break Imaginable

Quinn Ewers looked like he might just be able to lead Texas to the upset of No. 1 Alabama in the first quarter, making some awesome throws and looking like the 5-star recruit he was supposed to be.

But then, with the Longhorns driving to tie the game at 10 at the end of the first quarter, Ewers took a hard hit that forced him to leave the game. It didn't look good.

Brutal. Shades of Colt McCoy from the last time these two teams got together. Alabama finds a way to get every break it ever needs — an obvious pass interference was also not called on the Tide which would have probably given Texas a second touchdown instead of a field goal.

Hopefully Ewers is ok long-term, because he looked like he could actually be the quarterback Texas has been looking for. It seems the Longhorns' chances of winning today have taken a massive blow, though.
