Billy Eppler, you old dog you!!! Us Mets fans have been begging for Francisco Alvarez to get called up for months now after watching him hit a kabillion moonshots as James McCann hit into a kabillion double plays. No call up happened, the Mets traded for Darin Ruf and Alvarez got hurt.

However, things changed a bit after Darin Ruf became the worst player in the veryyyyy long history of baseball and Alvarez did this in September.

A quick reminder that true Frank The Tank has Oh My God Power:

Not to mention the swagger of a 10-time All-Star since you can't teach those chains and eyebrow cuts:

Along with a number full of good juju thanks to Benny Agbayani and power since 50 is indisputably a strong number:

So now the Mets have a phenom that barely any Major League pitcher has faced in the biggest series of the year and will be eligible for the playoffs once the Mets throw someone on the 60 Day IL.

Now all we need is Alvarez to be the Mets version of Andruw Jones and Miggy Cabrera AKA two young studs that absolutely raked as baseball babies during their first postseason. Kiiiiind of a tall task to ask from a 20-year-old but something this guy just may be able to do.

Subscribe to We Gotta Believe's YouTube for a series preview and Francisco suck off later today along with postgame episodes throughout the weekend.
