A Young Man Has His First Day Of School Completely Ruined By The Terrible Sandwich Made By His Mom
While the first day of school marks the end of summer, it's also a great day in a young man's life. You get a chance to see some old friends you may not have seen in months, you get a chance to meet a bunch more new friends, there's the excitement of seeing who is in your class, there's the excitement for everything the year possibly has to offer. It's a special day. One that you've been building up in your head ever since the start of summer. And just when you think the day couldn't possibly get any better....LUNCH TIME.
Or so you thought.
This young king was having the time of his life until he opened up his lunch box and took a big ol' bite into one of the most brutal sandwiches he's ever had in his life. So bad that it was clearly the only thing he was able to think about for the rest of his day. He couldn't wait to get off that bus to put Momma on blast for that disaster of a sandwich. Didn't even let her get around to asking how his day went before he went in for the kill.
And you know what? I don't blame him one bit. It's the first day of school. You need to set the standard and you need to set it early. You can't be going the entire school year having to scarf down terrible sandwich after terrible sandwich. If he didn't tell her immediately then nothing will ever change. It could go on for the rest of the month, it could go on for the rest of the year, it could go on until the day he graduates from high school. He needed to make it clear that sandwich doesn't even come close to meeting his culinary standards. It's harsh, but it's fair.
Sidenote: Imagine the chaos that would ensue if there was a Yelp for kids to review the lunches their parents send them to school with.
