Chris Pine Seemed To Go Out Of His Way To Look Absolutely Miserable During Every Interview He Gave At The Venice Film Festival For "Don't Worry Darling"
Chris Pine is quickly becoming the king of the “Don’t Worry Darling” press tour.
The actor has been spotted playing middleman for the cast and crew – which includes Florence Pugh, Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde – both on the red carpet and in the theater for the film’s premiere at the Venice Film Festival.
Amid all the ongoing drama, an interview has gone viral that shows Pine, 42, seemingly “disassociating” while Styles, 28, answers a reporter’s question.
“I think, you know, my favorite thing about the movie is that it feels like a… movie,” Styles says in the clip, while Pine stares at the ground with a blank expression.
“You know, it feels like a real, like, go-to-the-theater-film movie. You know, the reason why you would go to watch something on the big screen,” the singer continued.
After seeing clips of Chris Pine looking either high out of his mind all day, or just truly like he did not want to be at this film festival, I started to get woke and think that everything about this press tour is exactly that - for press. Chris Pine is a professional. He would never purposely tank a movie, or sit through hours and hours of interviews with a face on. He literally looks like he's being questioned by a lawyer in the middle of a deposition. Sure, Harry's answer was...not good, but he's a NOTED bad interviewer:
There has to be some kind of game they're all playing, right? Who can make the biggest headlines to distract from all of the existing drama of this movie? There's just no way that I can accept an entire group of professional, famous adults would act like this under such a big spotlight. My reality TV senses are tingling, and we all know this game well. Drama = asses in seats. 100% of the time. And considering Rotten Tomatoes isn't being too kind to the movie, it sounds like they need as many people go to see it as they can.
