If You Thought The Orioles Were Done Calling Up Top Prospects You Are WRONG! Gunnar Henderson, The #2 Prospect In Baseball Is Coming To The Bigs

You are a FOOL if you thought the Orioles were done calling up top prospects. In fact, they've only begun to scratch the surface. Last night it was announced that Gunnar Henderson (#2 prospect in baseball) and DL Hall were being added to the taxi squad in Cleveland. No real confirmation that they would be playing in Cleveland until today when Gunnar Henderson was officially added to the 40-man and got his call to the bigs. Wearing number 2 no less! Not some Spring Training number 87. He's here and he's beautiful.

Henderson has been a MONSTER at every level of the minors. He was a second round pick in 2019, which was the same draft they selected Adley #1 and Kyle Stowers in the third. Pretty decent haul I suppose.

Gunnar is a 21-year-old freak that'll most likely slide right into third and has the tools to become an All-Star infielder, along with an elite baseball name (Gunnar Henderson also sounds like he could be the QB1 at any SEC school). He shot up all the prospect rankings list earlier this season and was at #2 overall when the O's finally called him up, which he found out as he was getting a burger.

In case being the youngest Oriole called up since Manny doesn't get you excited, this highlight should do the trick.

Such a sweet lefty swing too, look at this bad boy. He started the season in AA Bowie before heading up to AAA Norfolk and showed pretty early on that he is going to be a bonafide stud. .294/.414./530 slash line and add in 19 homers with 20 stolen bases as well. He does strike out a lot, 116 times in 112 games this season but he also walks a ton, hence the OBP.

This is just another piece of the puzzle coming together for the Orioles as they try and stay in the Wild Card race. Regardless of what happens this year, the future is here and they haven't even debuted their other top guys yet.

It's a great time to be Gunnar Henderson and a great time to be a Baltimore Orioles fan. Welcome to the Gun Show. Another top 2 prospect coming to Baltimore, man do I love it.
