Browns Fans Got a Taste Of Good QB Play And Quickly Forgot How Awesome Baker Mayfield Can Be
Way too many people disrespect Baker Mayfield. You have to remember he played for the Cleveland Browns, who ruined him. Browns fans quickly forget where they came from and how long it took for you to get a guy as talented as Baker Mayfield.
On that list are the worst QBs of all time, then all of a sudden you get a QB that is worth something and has an amazing rookie year. He came within one yard of reaching the AFC Championship game.
He had some good and bad years for the Browns but you guys were the worst team in the NFL. A laughing stock actually. They would give out free beer if you just won one game and then all of a sudden you got a little taste of the good life with a good quarterback. Now you basically just want nothing to do with him? Sure they've had talent surrounding him like Chubb, OBJ, Landry, but you need a good QB to make it all work the way it did. OBJ also wasn't the OBJ everyone knows, he was a problem in the locker room as well. I am not here to defend him as a top 10 quarterback but some of you morons act like him and Jalen Hurts are comparable or him and Jimmy Garoppolo. Let's also not forget how injured Baker was all last year and didn't use any excuses. He basically played with a torn shoulder the entire year and Browns fans wanted to destroy him for giving his all. Losers.
His rookie year was incredible you cant ask more of a rookie then what he did. 2019 was rough, but have you ever heard of a sophomore slump? Also you wish your QB threw 21 INTs, that means he just tried a lot more and didn't do RB draws on 3rd and 14. The best Quarterbacks in the league don't have the greatest of stats in there first two years look at Josh Allen.
Those aren't the greatest numbers at all and now everyone wants Josh Allen on their team. Again I know he isn't the best QB in the league but you are going to watch this year and be like oh shit Baker is good and he is going to lead the Panthers to a division title at +1100. It might sound crazy, and a big if is if CMC stays healthy, but with the new environment and a fresh start Baker will win games for Carolina.
Everyone is also talking about how he is going to fuck up the Browns. Old Baker would have said that on the podium, he said that in confidence to a reporter on the sidelines and she reported it so that in its self shows he is self motivated and not being all in the media. I am going to be the biggest Baker Mayfield fan of all time this year and you should be too.
