Kayce Smith is having a baby! I am going to have a content baby! Kayce kindly offered to let me be a content baby grandma! Kayce announced her pregnancy this last weekend in a blog post (Kayce's blog). I knew she would be a great mom, but after listening to her speak about her parents, her upbringing, her boyfriend, and her thoughts on having a baby, it is abundantly clear this is one lucky baby!
As a Kontent Grandma, I hope my my baby skills come back quickly. It's been a few years. I lost the baby food tasting test on Lowering the Bar. I tried to blame it on my allergies, but I guess that's what 28 years off will do for you. Tommy Smokes is correct, this is the test you want to lose....adults should't eat baby food, right? I never realized how much they all taste the same! I used to eat banana baby food in my teens because I loved it. Some of my barstool buds apparently still eat baby food too! They are technically babies around here.
In honor of Kayce and football season at Barstool Sports, I decided it would be an excellent time to get back into gridiron University. When my son was in high school, he played quarterback. I didn't know much about football, so my friends would sit by me and fill me in on all the gridiron happenings so I could cheer at the correct time. I think I embarrassed a few of them when I would cheer for the other team's good call. Later, Michael, my son, tried teaching me how the NFL playoffs work by drawing this diagram for me. It worked!
You can tell I loved the Patriots and it helped that Wes Welker is from Oklahoma. How can Tom Brady not be everyones favorite QB. Hence the drawing above.
Back to gridiron U, my husband and a few of his buddies are going to help me with my football picks and why they think a good pick —one college and one Pro weekly. I asked Kayce how to word my bet pick. So much football lingo, so little time.
