In A SHOCKING Plot Twist, McDonald's Is Working On A Chicken Big Mac And I Don't Know How The Burger Community Should Deal With It
NY Post- “We’re always looking to give our fans more ways to enjoy the classic menu items they know and love,” McDonald’s said of the addition of the new Big Mac, according to Fox 6.
The sandwich will include two tempura chicken patties, pickles, shredded lettuce, and American cheese, a combination the company said was a huge success when it was rolled out to customers in the UK.
The Chicken Big Mac comes amid a fast food feud that has been dubbed the “Chicken Sandwich Wars,” which have intensified since Popeyes introduced its popular chicken sandwich in 2019. Other chains have followed the trend, with McDonald’s, Burger King and Wendy’s introducing new sandwiches meant to compete with Popeyes and Chick-fil-A.
Well look what we have here! Some wondrous burger news on a Monday morning as it looks like McDonald's is adding a chicken Big Mac to their menu. This news is VERY interesting. Are they adding this to combat all the other chicken sandwiches out there like Chick Fil A, Popeyes, and Wendy's? Are they adding this simply to cater to the few folks out there that don't like red meat? It's all quite the topic to think about. You'd have to think if it's the first option it's gonna be a nice premium chicken a la Popeye's rather than the simple shitty McChicken patty...Right?...Right?
And I'm one of the world's biggest proponent for the Big Mac. I think it's exquisite. The thin patties are impeccable. The shredded lettuce and American Cheese are a combination that Batman & Robin would pail in comparison to. And obviously don't even get me started on the special sauce. The only question is how would all of those wonderful ingredients hold up on a chicken sandwich? Immediately my brain is thinking that the special sauce is too thick to be featured on a sandwich as my brain immediately goes to a more ranch based sauce that could be a little spicier. Maybe McDonald's will make the changes. Maybe they won't. Who knows? I sure will be trying it though. This is a massive moment in fast food history.
