Thousands Of People Are Showing Up For The Crawsover Pro Am In Seattle, Showing Exactly Why The NBA Should Come Back To The Emerald City

If there's one thing that I think everyone can agree with, it's that Seattle needs their NBA team back. It can be relocation, it can be expansion, I don't give a shit. The fine people of Seattle deserve it after what happened to their beloved Sonics. Not only is it a part of the country rich with basketball talent and a ton of NBA players, it's a city and fanbase that always shows out. If you needed another example of that, look no further than what's going on today for Jamal Crawford's Crawsover Pro-Am. This is an event that seems to get bigger and bigger every summer and I mean just look at this shit

Sure, a lot of that probably has to do with the names that are slated to show up like LeBron, Tatum, Isaiah, Dejounte Murray, Paolo, Chet etc, I mean that's a pretty loaded cast of some of the best players in the entire freaking league. It's awesome that these guys are down to play in these Pro-Ams when they most certainly do not have to, and for it to happen in Seattle is even better. If you aren't really familiar with the Crawsover, it rules

I know people shit on these things because it's not true "NBA level" basketball, but to me, you're just a hater. Grow up. Enough NBA players play in it to warrant watching. Plus its competitive basketball in late August, who couldn't love that? It's way better to focus on stuff like this than another "anonymous source" trying to create some sort of KD trade leverage. Speaking of KD, he's also played in this thing and dropped a cool 63

The fact that people were camping out days in advanced all for a Pro Am is pretty wild but it just goes to show how big these things have become in 2022. It's sort of like Summer League in that regard. I remember going to Vegas for Summer League and almost nobody was there. Now? Anyone who is anyone heads to Vegas for that week. It's huge. The same shit is happening with these Pro Ams. It's not just the Drew League either. Jamal Crawford has been putting this Pro Am on in Seattle for years and I'd say it's officially blowing up. Good for him, good for basketball fans in Seattle, and hopefully Adam Silver catches wind of this and figures it the fuck out. I know there's talk of expansion to Vegas and potentially Seattle and I hope that actually happens. The league is deep enough, there's a ton of talent to fill out those rosters and still be competitive.

I dunno about you, but I can't wait to watch this game tonight. Partly because I can't wait to see Tatum and Isaiah play again, but like I said the rest of the talent is going to be nuts. I guess that LeBron guy is pretty good. Some local legends mixed in, it's going to be awesome. But let's not lose focus here. The main point is that the Sonics need to come back. The people are ready for it.
