It's A Stone Cold Fact That Kentucky Is Good At Football After Being Ranked In The Preseason Coaches Poll For The First Time Ever
I've tried telling everyone for the last few years that shit is different with Kentucky football. This is a program now. No one-off shit. Couple 10 win seasons later and we're starting to see some sort of respect. Sure, people still want to shit on us because they think Joker Phillips is running the show. Not the case. Recruiting is at an all-time high. Mark Stoops is one of the best coaches in the country. Not the best, but top-15 is fairly safe to say. Not bad for a guy that had to rebuild an entire program with no real identity in the SEC.
Now here we are. Will Levis is a projected 1st round pick. You have guys like Chris Rodriguez, Kenneth Horsey, JJ Weaver, DeAndre Square and more. Dudes that are projected to be All-SEC/All-Americans. That's the difference. I never thought I'd see the day where I'm confident every year will be decent for UK football. Stoops has gotten it to a point where 8 wins every year feels about right. 10 wins is reachable.
Now you aren't even arguing with me. You're arguing with big brain thinking coaches - who else would have Texas at No. 1? Smart guys that's about it. Football guys even. All I know is it's a new day folks. It's a day where UK football is getting respect. It's a stone cold fact. Can't even argue against it.
