My Favorite Vin Scully Clip Is When He Tells The Story Of Jonny Gomes Surviving A Wolf Attack Without Missing A Beat Of The Play By Play

An absolute masterclass of broadcasting. Somehow Vin Scully always seemed to know exactly how long an at bat would go for which enabled him to weave perfectly told stories in and out of the pitches. And none was better than the Jonny Gomes surviving a wolf attack story. "So he walked up to the wolf and it was a real wolf and here's the 2-1 pitch in there...". Just so elegantly spoken, so perfectly crafted.

The runner up for my favorite Scully clip is the Madison Bumgarner snake story.

RIP to a legend.
