NYSL's Legendary Run Continues! Call of Duty Major IV Is Going To Have A Ridiculous Ending! Recapping Day 3 Of CDL Major IV

Call of Duty League Major IV has been EVERYTHING we could've asked for. Every single series has been absolutely insane and coming down to the wire. The New York Subliners (NYSL) are in the midst of a legendary run to try and qualify for CoD Champs. CoD Champs can be viewed as the Super Bowl of Call of Duty with only 8 out of the 12 total teams making it to the tournament. To qualify, you have to score CDL points throughout the year by winning matches and getting high placements in Majors.

This year has been rough for NYSL, but today they have the opportunity to not only qualify for Champs, but also win their own home Major! If you're somehow that wants to get into the gaming scene, today is the perfect time to start. We have NYSL vs LA Thieves and then OpTic vs FaZe which is the most electric matchup in Call of Duty.

On Saturday, we saw 5 matches go down. Here's a quick recap of each plus interviews.

OpTic Texas vs Boston Breach

OpTic Texas started this Major in the loser's bracket. They had very poor group play, so they started the tournament on the single elimination side. They've had some extremely close matchups and close calls, but they continue to survive and advance.

OpTic beat Boston Breach 3-1 and I got the chance to interview the GOAT of Call of Duty, Scump:

My Bet: OpTic -1.5 ✅

Los Angeles Thieves vs Toronto Ultra

When everything clicks, the LA Thieves are the most dangerous team in the league! That's exactly what they showed today in a purely dominating win against Toronto Ultra. It was a 3-0 sweep and the last two maps were pure domination unlike I've ever seen.

After the match, I got to interview Envoy, who has some of the most supportive parents in all of esports:

I also got the chance to interview Octane who might have stepped in throw up on the way to the venue yesterday…

My Bet: LA Thieves ML ✅

BONUS

The Envoys are the best and here's an example why:

New York Subliners vs Florida Mutineers

If you were paying attention to any of the matches from Friday and Saturday,  you know that virtually every single series went the full distance of map 5. Today, the Major went more according to script with very quick matches. NYSL vs Florida was no different with New York sweeping Florida 3-0 and completing the third and last leg of my +782 parlay:

This was a massive win for NYSL to keep the dream of reaching CoD Champs alive! At this point, only New York or Florida will qualify for the final 8th spot.

If you're in NJ, WV, AZ or CO - join me in betting esports! We got Valorant, Legaue, CoD, Dota, and CS:GO!

One of the biggest storylines of Major IV has been how incredible the home crowd has been for New York, NYSL player Kismet gives his thoughts on the crowd:

OpTic Texas vs Toronto Ultra

This matchup was EVERYTHING we could have ever asked for from a CDL series. It was constant back and forth chaos with both teams not letting up! The first map ended in pure chaos:

The crowd was pulling for OpTic as much as they could and it fueled them in the end. This series went the FULL 5 maps and all the way to the final round of Search and Destroy, with OpTic coming out on top to secure a spot in Championship Sunday:

After the win, I got the opportunity to interview Dashy and iLLeY from OpTic Texas:

Atlanta FaZe vs Florida Mutineers

The final series of the day and it was a quick one. Atlanta FaZe took down Florida Mutineers 3-1 to advance to Championship Sunday and go up against the Green Wall of OpTic Texas. This matchup is going to be pure electricity and I can't wait to be in the venue to capture it all.

Funny enough, FaZe are typically viewed as the villains of the CDL, but in this matchup, the crowd was outwardly rooting for FaZe to beat Florida so that NYSL has the best chance to reach CoD Champs.

I caught up with Cellium (who's the leading leader for MVP this season), reigning MVP Simp and FaZe's coach Crowder:

All NYSL has to do is win one more game in this Major to qualify for CoD Champs and complete a historic comeback…

So today we have some MAJOR matchups going down. Leading off we have LA Thieves vs NYSL and then OpTic vs FaZe. It's going to be an absolutely insane day of competitive Call of Duty - checkout my twitter for updates and exclusive interviews!
