Right On Cue, Metallica Cut A Duet Of "Master Of Puppets" With Eddie From Stranger Things - BONUS New Music Monday

Just the other day I blogged how "Master Of Puppets" had been resurrected thanks to an amazing treatment in Stranger Things Season 4's finale episode.

CoS -Metallica are officially members of the Hellfire Club, as they’ve shared a duet with Stranger Things 4 hero Eddie Munson on the epic “Master of Puppets.”

Metallica have openly expressed gratitude for their part in the epic Stranger Things final, and now they’ve taken it a step further, giving Eddie the ultimate stamp approval by duetting with him via the magic of TikTok.

Netflix posted a duet challenge on the app earlier this week, tasking fans with playing along with Eddie as he ripped “Master of Puppets” from atop an RV. Donning the already iconic Hellfire Club shirts (which you can buy here, by the way), Metallica responded with all four members playing along to the climactic scene. “Eddie, this is for you!” the band wrote in the caption.

While the actor who plays Eddie, Joseph Quinn, really did learn to play “Master of Puppets” to convincingly perform the track on-screen, the show’s credits revealed that Tye Trujillo — the son of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo — was responsible for “additional guitar tracks” in the scene.

Very awesome stuff. Love when musicians play along and are good sports with stuff like this.

Also- life is pretty fucking good for Eddie Munson (real name Joseph Quinn) as he's got Doja Cat publicly telling the world she wants to fuck him.

For years, Toast has been a bit of a unicorn of sorts for Young fans; the musician has said that while working on the album, he eventually concluded that it was just “so sad that [he] couldn’t put it out.” He instead went on to record 2002’s Are You Passionate?, but now, fans finally get to hear the mythical Toast in its entirety, including the previously-released single “Standing in the Light of Love.”

- Bob Dylan's One-of-One Re-Recording of ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ Sells for $1.7M at Auction

The sale of the new version, recorded on one of T Bone Burnett's patented Ionic Originals discs, soared past initial estimates.

Bob Dylan’s new studio recording of his classic 1963 track “Blowin’ in the Wind” sold for an impressive £1,482,000 ($1,769,508) at auction during Christie’s London’s “Classic Week” on Thursday (July 7).

That amount exceeded expectations going into the auction — known as “The Exceptional Sale” — with initial estimates projecting it would go for between £600,000 and £1,000,000 ($720,000 and $1.2 million).

The new version of “Blowin’ in the Wind” was recorded last year during a special session with T Bone Burnett using the producer’s patented Ionic Original disc format (from Burnett’s NeoFidelity Inc.). According to a press release announcing the sale, the format delivers higher-quality audio than a typical vinyl record as well as “foreign particle resistance, durability, excellent signal-to-noise ratio, longevity [and] portability.” Ionic Originals discs are playable on widely-available vinyl playback equipment.
