A Soccer Match In Poland Was Suspended Just 7 Minutes After Starting Because Hooligans Couldn't Stop Brawling With Their Own Fans In The Stands

[Source] - A Europa Conference League qualifying match descended into chaos after only seven minutes with the referee forced to stop play for half an hour.

Belgian referee Nicolas Laforge halted the first qualifying round clash between Lechia Gdansk and Akademija Pandev in Poland on Thursday night (July 7) after spotting scrapping in the stands.

Feel like these hooligans need a lesson in hooliganism. Don't fight your own fans! Pretty sure that's rule number 1 with rule number 2 being don't fight so much that your team gets threatened to forfeit. Might need to rewatch Green Street again soon just to brush up on the rules, but this feels safe to say.

Good news here though is Gdansk won 4-1. You gotta think if they had to suspend the entire game and forfeit there'd be hell to pay. At some point you gotta cross the line and come up with what hooligans are allowed in and what ones are banned. Dangerous game, but one you have to play for sure.

On the other hand I gotta hand it to the hooligans. Getting the game suspended for 30-45 minutes just 7 minutes in is impressive. That's how you know you're brawling and refusing to listen to instructions. Not sure how you can piss someone off that bad to fight who is on the same side of you in 7 minutes but they achieved it. That said, I never understood the fighting at sports games. Just talk some shit, crack jokes and then have a beer. That's how it should be at least.

PS: I know European soccer fans are batshit crazy but who gets this jazzed up for a Europa Conference League qualifying match? Take it easy fellas.
