Surviving Barstool S4 Ep. 3 | Shocking Betrayal Rocks the TribesWATCH NOW

Aria Hutchinson, Aidan's Sister, is Chronicling Her Time at the Miss USA Pageant Orientation. And Lions Fans Are Going to Get Tired of All the Winning.

It's rare that any franchise in any sport is able to land a genuine home state hero at the top of the draft the way the Lions did when they took Plymouth, Michigan native and Michigan Wolverine defensive end Aidan Hutchinson with the No. 2 overall pick last April. And it's unheard of when said prospect is related to yet another home state hero, the way Hutchinson is:

And yet, that actually happened. Aidan and Aria Hutchinson graduated together. A month later he was drafted to by Detroit. And a month after that, she was crowned Miss Michigan.

And a month after that, meaning as we speak, she is at Miss USA's version of boot camp, getting ready for the pageant.  And, to her credit, sharing her adventures with all of us who weren’t blessed with the beauty and talent to ever get an insider’s look into such an event:

“Don’t compromise who you are. Be yourself to a fault. There is only one of you and that is pretty special.” Those are beautiful thoughts. And great advice. If you have have the sort of perfect genetic make up that the Hutchinson’s possess. For the vast majority of us though? I’m afraid it’s just wishful thinking. We all need to compromise a lot, every day, if we’re going to share a planet with this woman and her brother.

If you believe, as I do, that success is a trait, something that is in your DNA and can be inherited, than you can appreciate what we are in for with these two. Both on the field and the pageant stage. There’s no question the other Miss USA contestants are facing a steep, uphill climb with her. And if he even shares half of her genes (if Intro to Biology taught me anything, he does), he’s got what it takes to end decades of futility in Detroit.

All hail America’s new Wonder Twins.
