Bees Swarm Outdoor Restaurant Seating Near Times Square, Once Again Proving Why Eating Outside Is Overrated

NBC- An NYPD beekeeper had to corral thousands of buzzing insects in Times Square Sunday after they apparently made a hive inside an outdoor restaurant seating area.

No injuries were reported, but it was quite the sight to behold, with an NYPD beekeeper seemingly unperturbed as he managed hundreds of buzzing bees.

I need to state this before we begin, I am all for small businesses and restaurants getting as many customers as possible, especially after the last two years of state restrictions etc. However, when it comes to eating outside, especially in the summer- I am OUT. Hard OUT.

You may be asking why such a strong take, I would point you to one of those reasons being the fact that bees could swarm your table, in addition to heat, noise on the street, heat, sometimes uneven ground on the pavement, cars zipping by you, bus fumes, and did I mention heat?  I don't see how when given the option of a nice comfy chair inside an air conditioned restaurant, why you would pick to sit on a busy city avenue with an express bus, an ambulance and a High Noon delivery truck passing by a mere 8 feet away.

Again, I hope restaurants kill it this summer, just when it comes to my choice I will pick inside every time and I don't see how it's even up for debate.

Inside dining or Outside dining :

I will be shocked if the stats in the poll don't back me up.
