Phil Ivey Has Made The $250k Final Table, Going For Bracelet Number 11!
The GOAT is back at it again!
Right off the heels of his 2nd place finish in the $100k event, Phil Ivey flicked a few pennies into the cage and registered for the $250k event, the biggest buyin of the Summer, and now finds himself at the final table playing for $4,563,700 and his 11th bracelet.
As I wrote just a mere 4 days ago, despite not playing WSOP tournaments for 8 years, Ivey's 11th win would break the tie and put him at 2nd all time in WSOP bracelets.
It's quite a feat when you consider Hellmuth, who is 1st overall with 16, plays damn near every event every summer, Ivey picks and chooses and took nearly a decade off from the all together, and stillll with a win today could be 2nd on the list.
As we always say, poker is always better when Ivey is in the mix.
Not to say it's not fine without him, I mean we have dudes rockin' in their bracelet pictures with KFC buckets on their heads…
…but he's still no Phil Ivey. LFG Phil!
