Our Horse Smokin' Jay Is Running In His First Grade 1 Tomorrow Prior To The Belmont Stakes

Tomorrow is a HUGE day in horse racing, with the 3rd leg of the triple crown running at Belmont Park in that dirty, rat infested shithole NYC. More importantly, however, myself and Chief's horse 'Smokin' Jay' is running in his first grade 1 at Belmont tomorrow, "The Jaipur Stakes", a race that carries a $400,000 purse. I CANNOT wait for the race. We bought Jay 2 years ago with the hopes he'd turn into a graded stakes winner and he's really hitting his stride now. Win this race, and he's got an auto-bid into the Breeder's Cup Turf Sprint in November

Needless to say, we're gonna be busting out the program whips when watching it tomorrow. That said, Jay will be facing his stiffest competition to date. He's hit the board in all of his stakes races to date, and in his loan graded stakes race he failed to do so. But he's rested, trained up by a GREAT up and coming trainer in Kelsey Dammer down in FL, and we think he's got an excellent shot to hit the board.
