It Might Be Time To Just Let Bradley Beal Coach The Wizards

I dunno about you, but I'm ready to run through a goddamn wall for Bradley Beal. Pretty cool to see an active NBA player be so involved in his AAU program, but this is certainly not the first time we've seen something like this from Beal. Remember this video from last Spring?

Another great one. We've all had coaches that we've tuned out at times while growing up. You know, the ultimate hardos that yell just to yell and are only coaching for like the $500 month stipend or whatever. Those dudes suck. But what exactly are you going to say when it's Bradley Beal telling you to stop playing assholes? I'm pretty sure this dude knows a thing or two about the game of basketball

What I love about Beal is the simple brutal honesty he's giving. I'm sure in 2022 there will be people that have a problem with these Beal rants, but those people suck too. This is ideal coaching in my opinion. Someone who can talk the talk who is actively walking the walk. That's probably someone you should listen to.

Now sure, someone could respond and tell Beal to maybe work on his defense if he wants to impact winning on the Wizards, but I'm pretty sure that'd be if for that player if they even entertained the thought of it. You could make the case that Beal certainly does a lot on the offensive end, but there are additional ways he could get better to impact winning at the highest level. At the same time, we are seeing Beal get better each and every year as he enters his prime. There's a reason he's about to get a massive extension this summer.

No disrespect to Wes Unseld Jr who had a pretty decent first year as head coach of the Wizards who had the most wins this year (35) that they've had since their 2017-18 season, and there was a time early in the year where they looked great before injuries started to creep in. I'm just saying if things don't work out these next few seasons and the Wizards once again miss the playoffs, maybe just go the Bradley Beal player-coach route. Why not? He seems to have the motivational part down, and he can just use his assistants for the Xs and Os.

In an environment like AAU where it feels like coaches and adults might not always in it for the right reasons, I feel like it's the exact opposite with Beal. He's already rich as shit. He's already famous. You know there are kids in his program that he's having a real impact on, and like I said that's just cool to see from someone who could be on a beach somewhere if he wanted to.
