Antonio Brown Says 'Trash' Colin Kaepernick Needs to Get the 'Fuck Outta Here'

You'd be correct in assuming that Antonio Brown limited his career options significantly last year. 

Unsurprisingly, tearing off your shirt in the middle of doing what your employer is paying you to do, storming out of the workplace, and then shitting all over the people who hired you with stories that get crazier the more you talk doesn't look good on a curriculum vitae or help open up job prospects for you. 

The last we heard, the unemployed catcher of passes/killer of coaches was interested in investing in the Denver Broncos. Which would be the best addition to the NFL's owners group since they merged with the AFL and Al Davis just started suing everybody's collective ass. I mean, imagine the firs time one of Brown's players starts acting out, refusing to follow the rules, and tearing the team apart. And it's up to Brown to make a statement about putting the team ahead of the individual and respecting the shield or whatever. We pretty much need to have it happen.

That aside, while he's waiting for his investing partners to put their bid together, Brown is apparently dipping his toes into the water of another line of work I don't think many of us expected from him. Socio-political commentary:

TMZ - Brown just unloaded on Colin Kaepernick … in a sit-down interview with Naji of "Cigar Talk" … ripping the guy for settling his past lawsuit with the NFL, saying he doesn't believe Kaepernick actually wants to play still, and openly wondering if the 34-year-old's community contributions have actually made a difference.

Brown's rant all began after he appeared to be puzzled about why people feel bad for Kaepernick these days … saying he thinks the settlement Kap reached with the NFL in 2019 following his collusion lawsuit sufficiently took care of him.

"He took a deal," Brown said. "We don't feel sorry for you. You took the deal. F*** outta here."

"'Oh, Kaepernick!'" he added in a mocking tone. "Man, you on fing Nike, man. F outta here."

Brown then said he thinks Kaepernick "don't want to play" football anymore … and said even if the former 49ers star still truly did, he called his skill set "trash." …

AB went on to wonder out loud how much Kaepernick has really done for those in need.

"He built a foundation," Brown said. "What it do, though? I'm being real. What superhero he enforce? Who he put on? Who he help?"

This is far and away the most scathing criticism of Kaepernick I can remember hearing from another player. Or anyone in the league, really. It makes you wonder if Brown is alone in this thinking, or if other former opponents or teammates of his feel the same way and Brown just has the freedom to say it since he's not on anyone's payroll. It's hard to say, since if there's one thing none of us have ever accused him of, it's falling into groupthink. He's a Lone Wolf and always has been. 

Either way, it'll be fascinating hearing what this guy has to say going forward. His employers couldn't get him to toe the company line when he was making millions. Between his frostbitten feet and complaints about the new helmets, the Raiders couldn't even get him on the practice field. The Patriots wanted him to straighten up and fly right for about five months, and he lasted 11 days. And even winning a ring couldn't make him behave in Tampa. Now that he's completely unfiltered, I imagine we are going to strike a motherlode of pure gold. Stuff Brown and possible other players think and talk about amongst themselves but have no incentive to share with the public. 

So we're in for a wild ride going forward. And Kaepernick can't answer back fast enough. Stay tuned for that. 

And if this leads to nothing else, this at least puts Brown in the running for getting his own show on Fox News.
