There Are Reports Of Multiple People Being Shot At A Brooklyn Subway Station This Morning And Undetonated Devices Being Found
AP- Five people were shot Tuesday morning at a subway station in Brooklyn, New York, law enforcement sources said. Fire personnel responding to reports of smoke at the 36th Street station in the Sunset Park neighborhood found multiple people shot and undetonated devices, a New York City Fire Department spokesperson said. The fire department said 13 people were injured, but there were no details on what those injuries entailed.
According to multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the investigation, preliminary information indicated a suspect fled wearing a construction vest and a gas mask.
Really scary situation unfolding in Brooklyn during rush hour. It sounds like the suspect is on the run while New York's Finest and Bravest are securing the area as well as treating the injured. Details are obviously still coming in but everyone should be extra careful this morning if you are in the city or the surrounding areas because you never know with these things. I will update this blog with any further information when it becomes available.
UPDATE: No active devices are present according to the NYPD but please continue to be safe out there everybody.
