The Nationals Hit Francisco Lindor In The Head With A Pitch And Buck Showalter Is Looking For Blood As The Benches Clear
You know you are in some deep shit when an old man starts shaking as he yells at you. I guess watching a bunch of bums hit your guys with four pitches in 1.5 games, including two shots to the dome to two of your star players, enough is enough no matter how little intent seemed to be in those pitches. Thank God that Lindor somehow seemed alright after that.
This is why I loved the Buck Showalter hiring. Getting a manager with a bunch of wins and baseball knowledge is important. But having a guy that every person says is an awesome dude that has his players back is something it felt like the Mets were lacking over the years. I honestly thought Buck was gonna just start folding pro athletes half his age like laundry because he was in such a blind rage.
We're only 14 innings into this new season and months after he was hired. But tonight Buck became the manager of the New York Mets as he had his Ass In The Jackpot moment (Hopefully someone has the audio of what Buck was saying the whole time). God bless everyone in The 128 that bought the official shirt of our fearless leader while they were on sale because he is truly the skipper we've been missing since Davey Johnson was keeping tabs on the maniacs on the 86 Mets.
And in case a dude named Buck coming for your ass wasn't enough, this sick son of a bitch is sitting in the dugout waiting to answer.
LFGM. God it's nice to have a team with a spine again. It sucks I can't watch this game on TV because Apple TV+ keeps crashing for me and every snipped I've heard of the broadcast has caused my ears to bleed. At least we have a goated radio announcer as an option instead.
