THE Ohio State Having To Play THE Sister Jean On A Friday During Lent Seems Unfair

THE Ohio State vs. THE Sister Jean. Talk about the marquee matchup of the 1st round.

I keep seeing the stat that Sister Jean is older than Ohio Stadium, which I will admit did shock me. She was 59 years old when Woody Hayes coached his last game for the Buckeyes, which is even more insane. But what surprised me most is that at 102 years of age, this old hag is flying to Pittsburgh to sit court-side for the game. Vegas already opened up saying the Buckeyes were underdogs based on the players on the court, and now we have to go to through this witch as well? I know America's pastime has become hating the Buckeyes in everything we do, but to toss America's sweetheart on the other side, on a Friday during Lent, kind of seems like the deck is stacked against Ohio here.

So I guess today is now different than any other day.....

Basketball wise, my concerns do not come from the talent on the floor. Sister Jean ain't going for 30 and 15 today. It's an All-American and potential lottery pick against a first year coach with no NBA players. Ohio State should be able to roll here. But the tempo at which Loyola plays has me nervous. It is much easier to slow a game down than it is to speed it up. And the Buckeyes NEED to control the tempo of this one…

Tough matchup when Loyola only gives up 62 a game, ranking them 29th in the country.

I'm also a little hesitant about the Buckeyes injury problem, although it appears we will get a HUGE boost on that front..

Both of these players will be huge if Loyola does in fact slow down the game. And let's be honest, this Ohio State team was an absolute problem when they were healthy. Obviously with the way we've played as of late, this could all end quickly, but I think it's a must win for Holtmann and Ohio State in general. Got knocked out by #15 seeded Oral Roberts last year, and had high hopes all season this year. The Buckeyes NEED this one….and we have the better players. I like that combination.

The play clearly is Ohio State….and then I like the Under as well. Although, it appears some people are slightly leaning otherwise…

Good thing you snagged that .5 Dave when the ML is paying better odds. You never know when March Madness is going to have their first ever tie.

I love being on the other side of people like this.
