The Bachelor Decided To Hit Two Birds With One Stone In Last Night's Finale By Breaking Up With The Two Finalists At The Same Time
Last night was the final episode of this season's "The Bachelor," and after teasing it as "truly the most dramatic season ending, ever" for months, I think it's safe to say ABC has outdone themselves.
Not only did the lead, Clayton, tell all 3 finalists that he loved each of them, and then had sex with two of them, he decided after begging two of the 3 girls to "please try and take the next step forward" that he was going to twist the knife in a little further. Susie, the girl he "loved the most," was shown the door after she told Clayton she wasn't sure she could continue a relationship with him, after hearing that he already professed the same "love" to two other women. After Susie left, Clayton filled in Rachel and Gabby on the night's events, and begged them to stay on the journey with him, and meet his parents. Both girls sobbed for a while but eventually agreed, and all seemed to be going as planned. Clayton of course was still talking about Susie, now the one that got away, and it made the audience pretty suspicious of his intentions when he decided to still bring Gabby and Rachel to his parents, knowing he was "very much in love with" Susie. After these meetings, Clayton found out Susie was still in the area, and he wanted to talk to her.
After Susie walked into Clayton's Airbnb, she was greeted by..HIS PARENTS! Ridiculous. They talked outside, Clayton begged for her back, Susie said she had to think about it. Clayton's next actions were some of the most ridiculous I've ever seen. Knowing he may have Susie back on the hook, he went to go break the news to Gabby and Rachel....AT THE SAME TIME.
It was a disaster. Gabby walked out and basically told Clayton to kiss her ass. Rachel sobbed and continually expressed how upset she was for "trusting him and his words." A real Bachelor bloodbath. But, never fear - both girls rose from the ashes and are now BOTH going to be The Bachelorette(s) next season, at the same time. What could go wrong!
Susie ended up rejecting Clayton in Iceland, but is now currently dating him again. They came out on the stage last night and we all just hung our heads - we were happy that she stood her ground against how she was being treated, and then she took one giant step backwards. Clayton has a LOT of growing up to do. Hopefully he can do it, for Susie's sake.
Catch up on our episode of Cutting Stems last night where we spend 45 minutes shaking our heads about how ridiculous people really are.
