Pete Alonso Said He Got Into A Serious Car Accident Yesterday Where His Car Flipped THREE Times After Another Driver Ran A Red Light
Jeeeeeeeeesus Christ man. Nothing like a reminder about how fragile life is and how everything can change in a minute. Usually that is said after someone has a horrific injury or worse, but thankfully Pete Alonso and everyone else somehow escaped all that. I saw this tweet and had all the air sucked out of my body in the first half before reading the second half.
Even seeing this video of Pete from this morning is nuts since I would have never guessed he was in a wreck like that.
Is that because of improved safety measures in cars or because Pete is actually Superman? I'm not sure. Either way, I wouldn't mind if the Mets never had to work in the Sunshine State again considering the state's history of Florida Man doing Florida Man things as well as the entire Duaner Sanchez fiasco even though this was one shocking Mets story that didn't end horribly for once as things may actually be starting to turn around for this franchise.
We had Pete on We Gotta Believe last year and he was as good a dude as he is a power hitter, which is saying something because he may be the best pure baseball smasher in the sport, as he talked Mets, Uncle Stevie, and his Homers For Heroes charity.
