Hunter Dickinson Delivered A Shit Talking Masterclass While Dominating Michigan State

Somehow Michigan/Michigan State was buried last night with all the wild endings and bigger games we had. Or maybe the fact that it's Michigan on the bubble and Michigan State falling all over itself to be like an 8 seed. Or the fact that Michigan just flat out kicked Michigan State's ass last night. Whatever the reason, it happened. 

But the real story here is Hunter Dickinson and the masterclass he put on in dominating Michigan State and shit talking at the same time. It was beautiful to watch. You could see the frustration on Izzo. I thought he might cry or fight at one point. Hunter out here putting up 33 and 9 with 4 blocks? Michigan State quite literally couldn't guard him.

Ah yes leadership. That was the problem. Not the fact that Michigan State is wildly inconsistent. Not the fact that Michigan State couldn't figure out how to defend Dickinson. I love his response afterward too with the Izzo jab. Let me scream this. This is good for college basketball. We need characters in the sport. We need people to stop giving canned answers and actually have some personality. It's fun. It's sports. It's supposed to be filled with shit talking and a little bit of hate between rivals. 

As for Michigan? This win matters. Keeps them likely on the right side of the bubble. They need to win one of two down the stretch against Iowa or Ohio State. Also probably can't lose the first game of the Big 10 Tournament. I want Michigan to make the NCAA Tournament. Hunter Dickinson is good for the sport. He's a hell of a player with a personality. Give me dudes like that every day of the week.
