1. The Terminator - 97/100 - Prime Video:

In the post-apocalyptic future, reigning tyrannical supercomputers teleport a cyborg assassin known as the "Terminator" back to 1984 to kill Sarah Connor, whose unborn son is destined to lead insurgents against 21st century mechanical hegemony. Meanwhile, the human-resistance movement dispatches a lone warrior to safeguard Sarah. Can he stop the virtually indestructible killing machine?

One of the greatest sci-fi movies ever made without a doubt. The Terminator is one of the most iconic villians in movie history, and he delivers one of the most memorable lines in movie history. There are a lot of cool facts about this movie that I'll rattle off for y ou.

-Arnie had a commitment to filming 'Conan the Destroyer', so filming had to be delayed for a while. James Cameron had some down time, and ended up writing the script to one of the greatest sequels ever, 'Aliens' as well as 'Rambo: First Blood Part II'.

- O.J. Simpson was considered for the role of the Terminator, but the producers thought he was too nice to be taken seriously.

- One of Cameron and Arnie's only disagreements about the movie was "I'll Be Back". Cameron thought it should be "I will be back" since a robot wouldn't use contractions. Arnie disagreed, and Cameron told him "I don't tell you how to act, so don't tell me how to write"

2. T2: Judgement Day - 95/100 - Netflix:

Nearly 10 years have passed since Sarah Connor was targeted for termination by a cyborg from the future. Now her son, John, the future leader of the resistance, is the target for a newer, more deadly terminator. Once again, the resistance has managed to send a protector back to attempt to save John and his mother Sarah.

James Cameron is responsible for not one, but two of the greatest sequels ever with 'Aliens' and this movie. The addition of Robert Patrick was great because the man is simply the perfect robot. Him teaching himself not to blink while shooting made that scene where he unloads his Berretta on Arnie so much god damn cooler.

- Patrick also did an insane amount of cardio to be able to breathe through his nose while in a full sprint.

- The studio wanted to cut a few scenes from the script, including the T-800 introduction in the biker bar. They couldn't get through to Cameron, and they asked Arnie to help them out. He told them "Only a studio guy would cut a scene out like that."

- Arnie got paid $21k per line in this movie

3. Avengers: Endgame - 93/100 - Disney+:

After the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War, the universe is in ruins due to the efforts of the Mad Titan, Thanos. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers must assemble once more in order to undo Thanos' actions and restore order to the universe once and for all, no matter what consequences may be in store.

You've seen it and you probably love it if you're a Marvel. Side note: I think out of almost any movie that involves time travel, Endgame maybe handles it the best. They were really funny and self aware about it which I love.

4. X-Men: Day's of Future Past - 91/100 - Disney+:

The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods as they join forces with their younger selves in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.

Not all the X-men movies are good, but this one certainly is. I think it is the best one from the X-men universe with the exception of Logan. Their use of time travel was awesome because it blended both the older and younger casts perfectly while also keeping the bridge of Wolverine.

5. Hot Tub time Machine - 86/100 - TNT:

A malfunctioning time machine at a ski resort takes a man back to 1986 with his two friends and nephew, where they must relive a fateful night and not change anything to make sure the nephew is born.

When this movie came out, I thought it was going to be such a dumb, poop humor crap pile. I was so happy to be wrong. It's funny, different and has a pretty damn funny cast of misfits. Don't read that, WhiteSoxDave.

6. Looper - 84/100 - Netflix:

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past where a looper, a hired gun, like Joe is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good until the day the mob decides to close the loop, sending back Joe's future self for assassination.

By no means is it a perfect movie, but I think it explored a really unique idea using time travel. Bruce Willis is actually part of 2 solid time travel movies with this and '12 Monkeys'.

7. Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me - 76/100 - HBO Max:

When diabolical genius, Dr. Evil travels back in time to steal superspy Austin Powers's ‘mojo’, Austin must return to the swingin' '60s himself – with the help of American agent, Felicity Shagwell – to stop the dastardly plan. Once there, Austin faces off against Dr. Evil's army of minions and saves the world in his own unbelievably groovy way.

This might not be the first movie you think of when you hear the term time travel, but it's a time travel movie! It may not be as funny now as it was when you were a kid, but a lot of it holds up. Especially with this first movie.
