Which Call Was Worse: The Tee Higgins No-Call Or The “Holding” On Cooper Kupp?

OR

It’s hard for me to feel all the way bad for the Bengals. It started raining flags the last two minutes of the game after barely remembering there were refs at Sofi the first 58 minutes of play.

In the moment it definitely felt like the Rams were getting all the chances in the world to finally punch it into the end zone. It also felt like Tee Higgins stopped running full speed after making that catch because he assumed a gaggle of flags were about to get thrown for his wildly illegal maneuver to get open and score to start the second half.

That’s seven points apiece for each side gifted to them by the zebras, so after further review I cannot say in good faith that the refs swayed this game one way or the other. Especially when you factor in the refs didn’t force the Bengals to leave Eli Apple in single coverage against Kupp. Nor did they force Cincinnati to attempt to block Aaron Donald one-on-one with the Super Bowl on the line.
