Reviewing And Power Ranking The New Little Debbie Ice Cream Flavors
I don't know if this is technically a new Snackin' Off video, the first Many Snacks God production, or something completely different. But our new Podfathers producer Nicky The Good decided to start up the Barstool Grown Up YouTube page (click to subscribe) as a place to post the Podfathers podcasts along with my snack reviews, Kate's wild ride through motherhood, Large's cooking, Chaps' Toolies, Jordie's Meat Sweats, and much more.
So I have decided to sacrifice my boyish good figure in order to help grow the channel, with Little Debbie's venture into the freezer aisles of Walmart as my first order of taste testing business.
I had no idea what to expect with the ice cream since we'll just say Little Debbie charges less for her milkshake than the other girls in the yard. But apparently Hudsonville Ice Cream is good as hell, so the quality was there along with the familiar taste of Little Debbie's snacks that got us through our childhood as well as the occasional road trip. So check out the video above along with Large and Chaps diving into the Air, Land & Sea and subscribe to the Barstool Grown Up channel to get the latest food reviews delivered straight to your virtual door.
P.S. Here is my Top 5 Little Debbie's Snacks Rankings from my blog last month since I know this became a huge talking point a few weeks ago to the point the main account tweeted this out.
5. Cosmic Brownies
4. Zebra Cakes
3. Nutty Bars
2. Oatmeal Creme Pies
1. Christmas Tree Cakes
I know this will be a very controversial list since everyone feels strongly about their Little Debbie's snacks, but I will now waver on Christmas Tree Cakes being the best treat that Debbie sells. They fit in seamlessly during the most wonderful time of the year and despite being a couple bucks, class up any Christmas dessert spread.
Cosmic Brownies are good but back in the day some other snack brands made better packaged brownies and I can't shake that they slacked back then. Zebra Cakes are essentially regular season Christmas Cakes. I love pretty much anything that combines peanut butter and chocolate. Throwing all of that on a wafer is a layup since the wafer has become underutilized in desserts during the 21st century. Finally Oatmeal Creme Pies are my Little Debbie's gateway snack that introduced me to the brand, so they'll always have a place in my heart that probably wishes I had never been introduced to the brand.
Star Crunch is in the Also Received Votes section of my Top 5 but they can be hit or miss.
