Prediction: Andrew Garfield Will Return As Spider-Man In The Sony-Verse This Year

My hetero life mate Clem and I are trying some new shit out in 2022, which includes "Quick Hitters" on YouTube: little 10min videos recapping nerd/geek news/discussing all things in that realm.

We kicked things off today with our boldest predictions for the year in the Marvel, Star Wars, and DC universes (as well as a miscellaneous prediction) and I think the one I'd like to see happen the most myself is Andrew Garfield returning to the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the SonyVerse (with Tom Hardy's Venom and Jared Leto's Morbius)....

I'm not the biggest fan of those 'Venom' movies - in fact, I thought 'Venom 2' was the worst movie I saw in 2021 - and I don't have high hopes for 'Morbius', but throwing Andrew Garfield's Spidey back in the mix would be an absolutely huge shot of adrenaline to the chest of that cinematic universe....

I think he could easily carry either or those villains to a more entertaining movie than one that DOESN'T involve him, so sign him up!

SPOILERS FOR 'SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME' BELOW

Also, let's be honest, Andrew Garfield EARNED this spot/return to the SonyVerse with his show-stealing performance in 'Spider-Man: No Way Home'! He dominated nearly every scene he was in with his charm and humor/made everyone cry all at the same time….

After all, he was never the issue with those 'Amazing Spider-Man' movies, and neither was Emma Stone…they just got stuck with some bad scripts. I still like their casting a lot!

I'd even be interested in Emma Stone returning in a Spider-Gwen movie, while we're at it, as that character is one of the best I've read in a while comics-wise and she ruled in 'Into The Spider-Verse'….

I think audiences are smart enough to understand a couple Spider-Men at once at this point (because who hasn't seen 'No Way Home' or at least heard of 'Into The Spider-Verse' in 2022?) and with the latest installment making as much money as it did, I doubt they're gonna stop cranking these bad boys out any time soon.

What kinda predictions do you got for these franchises this year?! Let us know.
