I Was Floored When I Saw How Jacked Lou Gehrig Was Compared To Babe Ruth

Obviously I know of the famous nickname for Lou Gehrig, the "Iron Horse". I never put much thought into why he was called that, I just thought maybe he liked it and stuck with it. After I saw this picture on Reddit I finally found out why. Lou Gehrig was built like a god damn brick house. Look at the size of that dude. I mean look at his neck. It's like he has a damn roast beef sitting on his shoulders. The shoulders on that guy. UNREAL. The biceps! He looks like a monster compared to Babe Ruth over there, it's like a modern day Aaron Judge/Jose Altuve picture. And pray for the guy in the middle, they prob didn't even know he was down there. Baseball Reference has Lou listed at 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. That my friends is a lie. You can't look at him in this picture and say he wasn't at least 6'8" and 255 of solid muscle. What an unreal physical specimen, and this was when athletes didn't lift weights or eat right. He looks like he's chiseled out of stone, meanwhile Babe is over there looking like a bag of milk.

And you know damn right he didn't skip leg day. Tree trunks on him compared to those toothpicks on Babe. Johnny Drama would think Lou's calves were fake, he ain't buying it. I just can't get over what a monster Gehrig looks like. And the fact that he was decimated at the end of his life with that terrible disease, very sad. Baseball players didn't look like this back then, he really was the first guy that looked like Paul Bunyan to swing a bat. Rumor was he used to eat like 8 eggs for breakfast everyday and you can tell. He wasn't a fat, glizzy gobbler like Ruth, he actually trained. Like I said earlier, I knew he had the sick nickname, but now I get why. He was actually built like an Iron Horse. What a mammoth person. I talked 2 weeks ago about how Babe Ruth would be Tim Tebow if he played today, Lou Gehrig 10000% could play today. What a monster, shame we didn't get to see a full career play out for him.
