Lock of the Century: This 3D Printed Steak Sucks

Now before we get started, let me just make one thing abundantly clear. Factory farming can go straight to hell.  Factory farming is fucked ethically and it's fucked environmentally. Clearly there's a need for humans to change our diets up a bit if it takes raising millions of chickens and cows and pigs in cages for the sole purpose of slaughtering them in the cheapest way possible.

Which is why I don't  hate the idea of plant based "meat" products. I'll gladly take down a Beyond Burger or 3. Is it as good as the real thing? No. Bu I'm a much bigger fan of substituting a real burger with a Beyond Burger every once in a while than I am of the thought of humans skull fucking the planet to death like we've been doing over the past few hundred years.

But you can take a billion seats if you think that I'm ever 1) going to eat a steak that was built by a goddamn computer, and 2) ever consider even comparing it to an actual ethically sourced and raised cut of meat. Factory farming might be terrible for the cow but do you want to know what's even more despicable? Saying something that looks like this:

Could ever compare to the taste and texture of the real thing. I can guarantee you that this piece of shit sucks. And the only way you could actually enjoy it is if you have your head shoved up your own ass so far that it renders your tastebuds useless.

No computer will ever be able to replicate the real thing, and you'd need to be the biggest dork on the planet to think it could even come close.

You don't need a 3D printer. You don't need to get all these science nerds involved. All you need to do is just raise animals in a humane way before you kill them for consumption. It's a little thing called the circle of life. To me that sounds better and more sustainable than serving people computer food.

And if you're looking for a recipe for something to do with steak that isn't just reverse searing a ribeye, here are some killer carne asada tacos for you to try out.
