Love Luka's Excuse Of 'Relaxing Too Much' For Being The Reason He Showed Up To The Season Weighing 260 Pounds

This is just the perfect excuse. Luka played in the Olympics, had a short offseason and didn't care. The saying 'stars, they are just like us' rarely applies. But it applies here. Luka is 22 years old. Prime fresh out of college age where you think metabolism is still high and you can drink whatever you want, eat whatever you want and it'll burn off. Boy, does that hit you fast. Hell he even is still listed at 230 pounds. That's everyone on their driving license or listing weight to someone. Ohhh, I don't know, yeah, 175 sounds good. You know damn well you're close to 200.

Honestly, I hope Luka doesn't lose weight. Him being this doughy dude out there as one of the best players in the league is hilarious. I hope he gets another 15 pounds on him. Just be the ultimate fat dude, slower player who can go get 30 in the blink of an eye. If anything, it'd make for great content. Just don't get to 330, Luka.

I know Luka has dealt with injuries too, that doesn't help when losing weight. But the fact we have Luka out here thick as hell and still being Luka is what makes him great. It's like Marv says in Home Alone, 'All the great ones leave their mark. We're the Wet Bandits.' Luka needs to have being doughy as his calling card. Be the great thick one while Zion is sitting out. Hell, team up with Zion at some point and become the ultimate pick and roll guys. Good luck getting around those screens.

I love it. Give me all the excuses, give me all the reasoning and people like Reggie Miller freaking out about him 'plodding.' It makes me like Luka even more.
