Always A Great Day To Beat Baltimore! Steelers Stay Alive

You knew it was going to be like this. It's Steelers-Ravens in December. It'd be a surprise if it were anything other than a few heart attacks.

An absolute tale of two halves. Damn that offense was absolutely unwatchable (the few times they were on the field in the first half) to the point where I said watching them could be used by governments as a torture tactic. For whatever reason this team has always had Lamar's number. He didn't do jack again at Heinz Field. That wasn't the worry for me - it was whether or not the offense could put drives together and score or if Harbaugh would out coach Mike Tomlin.

Luckily Big Ben and the offense figured it out. Diontae Johnson absolutely made up for that drop at the end of the first half and dominated in the 2nd half. That was Big Ben's 10th game winning drive against Baltimore and what a way to go out. All the reports this week saying he knows this will be his final season, and boy he showed old Ben in the most crucial moments of this game in a rivalry that makes you a legend.

Now it's a quick turnaround to Minnesota on Thursday to try to keep this thing going. But right now you're 6-5-1 and still in the thick of the playoff race. Coach T always talks about unleashing hell in December, something the Steelers haven't done the last four years, and boy what a way to start off the month by beating your biggest rival atop the AFC in a thriller. And side note, I was really harsh on these guys after last week's debacle in Cincy. But today was Steelers football. Today the effort, the intensity, the care, and the performance was something everyone should be proud of.

Here We Go.
