Here Are The POIs You Need To Know For The New Warzone Map 'Caldera' Coming On December 8th
This is the latest image and video of the new Warzone map 'Caldera' that's coming to Warzone on December 8th (yes, that's the same day that Halo Infinite will be fully released). With the new map coming, the anti-cheat system known as "Ricochet' will also be integrated into Warzone and Vanguard (THANK GOD).
As you see above, there are 15 unique POIs on the new Caldera map. For some time, I was speculating that there may be some rivers or bodies of water within the new map. However, that does not appear to be the case.
So some similarities I see between Verdansk and Caldera are as follows:
- (L) Sub Pen is going to be the next Prison. It's the only POI (point of interest) that has some sort of massive building/structure. I'm anticipating this will be the preferred drop spot of Iron, but only time will tell.
- (A) Arsenal is going to be the next Boneyard - complete guess-timation but I'm sticking to my guns
- (N) Capital to me appears to be the new Downtown. This is where the biggest buildings on the map should be and it looks like there's a decent amount of them
- (F) Peak reminds me straight away of Stadium. There's one structure in this area and the rest is grass/land without any other buildings
- (J) Airfield - looks like if Promenade and Airport had a baby. Ton of unique buildings on either side of the Airfield with the landing strip separating the two
- (K) Fields - I expect Fields to play very similar to Lumber or Farmland. Lot of houses and a lot of places to die from rats hiding in buildings.
Lastly, I'm expecting this Warzone map to be roughly the same size as Verdansk. I'm basing it off this overlayed image where it comes the two.
Which spot is going to be your preferred drop spot? I'm holding the line at Arsenal (allegedly).
