LSU Walks It Off in Coach O's Final Game
No. 15 Texas A&M had the misfortune of rolling into Death Valley in what everyone knew was going to be Ed Orgeron's final game as LSU's head coach — bowl game notwithstanding. And if you thought the Bayou Bengals weren't winning this one for Interim Ed, I don't know what to tell you.
LSU trailed by four with less than a minute to go when Max Johnson dropped one in a bucket to Jaray Johnson, who took it into the end zone for the game-winning score to give the Tigers their sixth win of the season in Coach O's final game in Death Valley. Orgeron was pretty happy about it.
Coach O is about to embark on one of the greatest lives anyone in America could possibly live. He can do whatever he wants while LSU pays him every cent of his $16.8 million buyout over the next four years. Go get that bag, king.
Good for Orgeron and the Tigers. They get to go bowling in what was a less-than-stellar season and Coach O gets to ride off into the sunset with a "Geaux Tigahs."
Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.
