PK Subban Has A Fever And The Only Prescription Is More Slewfoot
Woooahhhhh buddy. PK Subban is out here treating his contract year like another installment of Final Destination. He already has to go this entire season constantly looking over his shoulder for a lurking Ryan Reaves waiting for him around the corner. And I still hold on to the belief that one was actually more of an accidental slewfoot if anything.
But that one against Lucic last night? Well that's clearly still some carryover hate from 2014 Bruins vs Habs. That's about as greasy as they come. I have to imagine the only thing that'll save Subban from Lucic pummeling the heck out of him on March 16th would be if PK ends up being a healthy scratch that night. Which, by the speed he's been regressing, isn't too out of the picture.
Still seems like an incredibly odd strategy for PK to be employing here. It's not like there are a ton of big men left in the NHL to begin with. So why is he going out of his way to sign a death wish with all of them? Gonna be tough to hold the pen to even sign a new contract with how greasy Subban has been playing lately. Thing will slide right out of his fingers.
7 years is obviously a long time. But it's crazy to think about how much has changed since then.
