Giants! Panthers! It's The Gettleman Bowl, On FOX!!!

I would like to apologize to both Giants fans and Panthers fans, but I couldn't think of a better way to promote a matchup of two teams with a combined 5 game losing streak. I don't know how the Panthers fanbase feels heading into today but my pal El Jefe did yet another fantastic job summing up the Giants fanbase's feelings.

If we are being honest, I would loooooooooove the Giants today if they were anywhere near healthy or at the very least had Andrew Thomas and Kadarius Toney in the lineup. However, I'm sure plenty of Panthers fans would love to have Christian McCaffrey and Shaq Thompson healthy.

Instead of Dave Gettleman's two first round running backs squaring off, we have The Dozen Hubbard taking on Devontae Booker at MetLife. Good times! At least David Sills' road to becoming the next Victor Cruz begins if he can make it through this postgame warm up without suffering an injury.

Despite all the hilarious potential for a David Gettleman Revenge Game, I wanted today to be the Giants Revenge Game for Smock Boy Matt Rhule passing on even interviewing with them a couple of years ago before accepting the Panthers job.

Then I thought about it and don't think I can really blame a guy for accepting the money of a super successful billionaire looking to rebuild a franchise in his vision instead of working for an ownership group that hasn't shown the ability to change with the times. Besides, the real story of today is that this is the Graham Gano Revenge Game, which may be the closest thing to a real revenge game considering what happened to his leg down in Carolina.

Oh yeah and there's the whole matchup of the quarterback the Giants passed on in 2018 for that first round running back taking on the quarterback they took in 2019, but nobody seems to harp on the G-Men passing on Sam Darnold or Josh Rosen anymore just like Dwayne Haskins is no longer the one that got away. Considering that two of the next three Giants games are against last year's Super Bowl's teams, this one feels like as Must Win as you can get in an already lost season. Then again, if the Giants lose it ends up being a win for the team we all end up rooting for by Halloween anyway.
